About RIME
Renovation In Music Education (RIME) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helping people, arts organizations, and communities succeed through innovative arts partnership programs. From underprivileged students in upstate New York, to injured combat veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, RIME provides extraordinary opportunities to populations in need, and transforms their lives in the process.
RIME’s principal program is MusiCorps, a rehabilitative music program for wounded warriors, complemented by the Concert Curriculum, a program in which students pursue a special curriculum that culminates in their performance with orchestra.
RIME has partnered with a variety of organizations and institutions, and the success of its programs has been the subject of research at Harvard and NYU.
RIME was founded and is directed by pianist/composer Arthur Bloom.
